Undergraduate Research: Literature Review on Tribal Forest Owners
The Family Forest Research Center is seeking an undergraduate researcher to assist with conducting a literature review to support a project using Participatory Action Research to study Tribal Forest Owners. This literature review will cover historical and current Tribal land holdings and use, especially any areas where research could be useful to support Indigenous Communities, as well successful examples of relevant participatory action research.
The undergraduate research assistant will meet with the project mentor once per week to identify and review relevant literature, learn best practices for conducting literature reviews, discuss findings, and write-up their findings.
Conducting literature reviews is a critical component in the research process, helping to synthesize ideas, identify knowledge gaps, and address research questions. This is a great opportunity for undergraduate students who are interested in sharpening their research skills.
