Dr. Lori Astheimer is a senior lecturer and advisor in PBS, where she teaches a variety of undergraduate Neuroscience courses. Her research background is focused on cognitive neuroscience, using neuroimaging techniques to explore the relationship between attention and language processing. As an advisor, she enjoys connecting students with research opportunities and is committed to making this process more equitable and accessible for all students. After developing a Research Assistant Mentoring Program (RAMP) in PBS that helps match new students with Psychology and Neuroscience labs, she is excited to help expand PROPEL to increase access to research opportunities across campus.
