Biology LEAD Program

The Linking Employment and Academic Development (LEAD) is a great way to develop professional skills and increase your career readiness!  

Students in the Biology LEAD Program will spend one semester at the Charles River Campus in Newton working in exciting part-time internship placements while taking BIOL 350: Ethics in Biomedicine, Biotechnology and Therapeutics (3 credits) and other available courses on the Charles River Campus. You can also take up to 9 credits of U+ coursework, included in your tuition (restrictions apply). Internships will take place on MWF and you will attend your classes on TuTh. 

The Charles River Campus is a secondary campus of UMass Amherst, so all your courses, credits, tuition, and financial aid apply!

This program is targeted to Juniors and Seniors. Each internship will have specific requirements, such foundational lab courses or other science courses. If you are interested in participating in this program this coming Fall, you need to complete this Application Form. If you already applied, there's no need to complete it again.
