Insect Diversity Lab Undergraduate Teaching Assistantship

Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Biology 447, Insect Diversity Lab.  Assist with preparing and teaching Wednesday and Thursday afternoon labs.  In September and early October these are field trips; the rest are indoor labs in which students pin, curate, and identify the specimens they have collected, and learn to recognize common insect orders and families.

Knowledge of insects, experience collecting insects, and ability to recognize local insect orders and families, helpful but not required.  Driver's license helpful but not required.  Previous experience with this course, other insect courses, the UMass insect collection, or the Fernald Club (local student entomology club), helpful but not required.
