Syde Orange is the Associate Director for Student Success & Diversity for the College of Natural Sciences at UMass Amherst. I am interested in JEDI initiatives, project management and supporting underrepresented students in the higher education setting. In addition, I have over 5-years of higher education experience and have earned a BS in Meteorology and a EdM in Adult Education & Higher Education Teaching from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. In my free time, I work for Girl Scouts of Central & Southern NJ as a Program Manager and Unit Leader for their summer programs. Lastly, I am in the process of completing the Foundations of Management Certificate offered through the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst in the hopes of transferring those skills sets to a PhD program.
