Bio 288 Physiology Undergraduate TA Fall 2026 - Dr. Rocheleau

Bio 288 Undergraduate TAs will provide instructional assistance and peer mentoring for the Physiology course. 

UTA Responsibilities:

  • Attend all classes (Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00 pm to 2:15 pm)
  • Attend a 1-hour weekly UTA planning meeting
  • Assist with instructional activities
  • Tutor students
  • Proctor exams
  • Assist with grading

Why participate in this opportunity?

Students will gain experience in mentoring and tutoring students in the field of Biology, with an emphasis on Physiology. 

Students will learn to think on their feet, communicate professionally, and be patient with others. The faculty member will provide support to the UTAs throughout the semester to help develop these skills. 

Students will gain a deeper knowledge of the material by teaching the material to their peers.

The faculty mentor provides mentoring on the practice of teaching while supporting UTAs' long-term career objectives.

  1. You must have taken BIOL 288 (Physiology) and received an overall grade of B+ or higher.
  2. You can effectively organize resources and establish priorities
